Sophia is a Litigation Partner at Lennox Paton. Sophia represents a variety of clients in all aspects of contentious litigation and has acted in numerous prominent cross-border cases and multi-jurisdictional matters. With a strong reputation in the field of insolvency, and an experienced trial lawyer, she appears regularly before the Courts in The Bahamas and has appeared as Junior Counsel in the Privy Council. Sophia impresses sources with her industrious approach to the work she takes on and her practice encompasses contentious shareholder and commercial disputes, trust litigation cases with respect to asset protection trusts, fraud and asset tracing matters including Norwich Pharmacal applications, injunctions and other interlocutory relief. 

Sophia is a member of the Bahamas Bar Association and The Honourable Society of Middle Temple. Sophia is a Fellow of INSOL International, Vice-Chair of the Reorganization and Workouts Sub-Committee of the Insolvency Section of the International Bar Association (‘IBA’), and The Bahamas National Representative of AIJA. 

Sophia is frequently called upon to speak at International Conferences including Transcontinental Trusts, Bermuda.  Sophia authored The Bahamas chapter of INSOL International’s Insolvency and Trusts and numerous other publications.
